Sharp Refreshes Professional Projector Portfolio with New A and V Series LCD Laser Projectors

Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America (SIICA), a division of Sharp Electronics Corporation (SEC), has officially announced the refresh of its professional projector lineup with two new product series — the A Series and V Series — designed to deliver powerful performance, incredible brightness, and unmatched installation flexibility for business and education environments.

A Series: Engineered for Extreme Brightness and Reliability

The A Series includes models XP-A824U (8,200 lumens), XP-A104U (10,000 lumens), XP-A155U (15,000 lumens), and XP-A175U (17,000 lumens). These projectors are purpose-built for large venues and applications where ambient light is high. Each model features Sharp’s proprietary high-performance video processing and scaling chip paired with a dual blue laser system that ensures brilliant color reproduction and outstanding clarity.

A standout feature of the A Series is the IP5X-rated Sealed LCD cooling system, which blocks dust from entering the optical path. This dust-free design ensures long-term brightness consistency and eliminates the need for filter maintenance — making it ideal for continuous, professional use. The result is a virtually maintenance-free projection solution built for demanding environments like auditoriums, museums, and large conference halls.

V Series: Flexibility Meets Value

For customers seeking efficiency and versatility, the V Series models — XP-V731U (7,300 lumens) and XP-V801U (8,000 lumens) — offer powerful visual performance at a more accessible price point. One of the major advantages of this series is compatibility with legacy NEC lenses, giving organizations the ability to reuse existing optics for significant cost savings. This makes the V Series ideal for businesses and schools upgrading from older NEC projector systems.

Shared Innovation Across Both Series

Both the A and V Series incorporate a suite of cutting-edge features designed to simplify setup and enhance image performance. These include:

  • Geometric correction for projecting on curved or irregular surfaces
  • Integrated edge blending for multi-projector setups
  • Roll Free orientation, allowing projection at virtually any angle
  • Constant Brightness mode, maintaining consistent light output over time
  • NaViSet Administrator 2 software for centralized management and monitoring
  • Multi-display TileMatrix technology for creating large visual displays without external processors
  • ProAssist™ software, giving installers precise remote control over alignment and image settings

Built for Longevity and Reliability

Every projector in the new lineup is backed by Sharp’s trusted five-year or 20,000-hour limited warranty (whichever comes first), ensuring peace of mind and long-term performance stability.

According to Ryan Pitterle, Senior Product Manager for Projectors at Sharp, the new lineup represents the brand’s ongoing commitment to innovation and customer choice:

“The A Series delivers dust-free reliability and extreme brightness for large, demanding spaces, while the V Series maximizes flexibility with lens compatibility and new ultra-short throw options. Together, they provide purpose-built solutions that ensure exceptional projection in any environment.”
