Hisense Unveils Ultra-Slim Vidda Wallpaper TV with 165Hz Refresh Rate and QD-Mini LED Display

A Stunning 4K Smart TV That Redefines Slim Design and Performance

Hisense has officially launched the Vidda Wallpaper TV in China, a sleek, ultra-thin smart TV built for design-conscious users who refuse to compromise on performance. With a profile measuring just 29.9mm (approximately 1.2 inches), this TV is crafted to mount seamlessly against the wall, offering a “wallpaper-like” aesthetic ideal for modern interiors.

Available in sizes ranging from 65 inches to 100 inches, this QD-Mini LED television features a native 165Hz refresh rate and support for cutting-edge technologies such as Dolby Vision IQ, AMD FreeSync Premium, and multiple HDMI 2.1 ports — all tailored to deliver a premium viewing and gaming experience.

QD-Mini LED Panel with Exceptional Visual Quality

The Vidda Wallpaper TV is built on Quantum Dot Mini LED (QD-Mini LED) technology, known for its superior color accuracy and brightness. With 4K resolution and 95% DCI-P3 color space coverage, it delivers lifelike picture quality across a variety of content types. The high refresh rate — 165Hz natively and up to 330Hz simulated on the 100-inch model — ensures ultra-smooth motion, making it ideal for fast-paced action movies and high-performance gaming.

The 100-inch variant stands out with 98% DCI-P3 color coverage and peak brightness up to 4,400 nits, making it a beast in both brightness and color vibrancy. It’s also IMAX Enhanced certified for a true cinema-grade experience at home.

HDR Support and Filmmaker Mode

For home theater enthusiasts, the Vidda Wallpaper TV supports a wide range of high dynamic range formats including Dolby Vision IQ, HDR10+, and HLG. The inclusion of Filmmaker Mode ensures content is displayed exactly as directors intended, free from post-processing effects that distort the original visual style.

Advanced Gaming Features Built In

Hisense isn’t just targeting cinephiles — the Vidda Wallpaper TV is also geared toward gamers. Every model in the lineup supports Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM), Dolby Vision Gaming, and AMD FreeSync Premium, ensuring a lag-free, visually immersive gaming experience.

Gamers can also take full advantage of HDMI 2.1 ports, which support 4K at 165Hz, delivering ultra-responsive gameplay for next-gen consoles and high-end gaming PCs.

Connectivity and Smart Features

The TV includes a suite of modern connectivity options, such as:

  • Dual-band Wi-Fi 6
  • Bluetooth 5.4
  • Wireless screen casting for Android and iOS devices
  • Multiple ports including HDMI 2.1, USB 3.0, and a standard audio jack

For audio, Hisense has packed the Vidda Wallpaper TV with integrated 90W speakers and Dolby Atmos support, delivering an immersive sound experience right out of the box — no soundbar necessary.

Standby Art Mode for Ambient Living Spaces

One unique feature is its standby art display mode, allowing users to turn their TV into a digital art frame when not in use. This feature not only adds aesthetic value but transforms the television into a part of the home’s decor.

Pricing and Availability in China

In China, the 65-inch Hisense Vidda Wallpaper TV is priced at CNY 5,499 (~$761 USD), while the 100-inch model comes in at CNY 14,999 (~$2,076 USD). These aggressive prices make the Vidda Wallpaper series one of the most feature-rich and competitively priced ultra-slim TVs on the market.

As of now, there is no official word on global availability, including North America or Europe. However, Hisense recently released the U8QG Mini LED TV in the U.S., suggesting that the brand is actively expanding its premium TV lineup internationally.
